Yes, yes friends, you've asked and now we've answered. Back by popular demand, the world-renowned Botham Vineyards Vintage Celebration returns on Sunday, September 29 in a somewhat modified version as the Harvest Vintage Fest.
Why? For three years with near-daily frequency we have received an email inquiry or been pulled aside by at least one tasting room guest who has wanted to know when we plan to bring this legendary event back to life. We put the Vintage Celebration to rest in 2021 after 25 years ... but who can resist this kind of demand?
So .... circle Sunday, September 29 on your calendars, shine up and tune up those vintage beauties and motor on over to 8180 Langberry Road, Barneveld, Wisconsin for a day of great wine, great friends, live music by Jesse Bauman & the Driftless Ramblers noon - 4 p.m., the Halo, Halo food truck and a gathering of some of the Midwest's most treasured vintage sports cars, touring sedans, racecars, trucks and motorcycles in a setting beyond compare.
The $15 entry fee allows parking for vintage vehicles* in the paddocks (please arrive by 11 a.m.; the gate opens at 9 a.m.) *Vehicles must be 1994 or older and they must be driven to the vineyard. No trailers. Day-of-show entries only. No pre-registration. No competition, no trophies. Just fun.
$10 spectator admission; children 12 and under admitted free with a parent or legal guardian
As always, the vintage vehicle entry fees and a portion of the day's proceeds will benefit the Iowa County Humane Society, a no-kill shelter just down the road in Dodgeville, Wisconsin.
The event will be held rain or shine. Sacrifices to the weather gods welcome and appreciated.
Please remember that Botham Vineyards is a smoke-free venue, buildings and grounds. Pets are not allowed on the property so please leave Rover at home unless he is a certified service animal. Carry-in alcohol is strictly prohibited, though picnics are welcome.
