The Driftless Historium partners with Little Eagle Arts Foundation of Wisconsin Dells to bring the second annual Native American Marketplace to downtown Mount Horeb on Saturday, June 01 (10am to 5pm) and Sunday, June 02, 2019 (10am to 4pm). Ten artists representing four tribal communities will offer a range of traditional, unique and modern artistry and crafts for sale--including, but not limited to, beadwork, paintings and basketry. The Marketplace opens on Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m with a Ho-Chunk song and dance performance, with educational commentary, by the Wisconsin Dells Singers on Front Street next to the Historium. (Performance will move indoors, if weather dictates.) Finally, the Driftless Historium 2019 Flavor of the Year Ice Cream - still to be determined! -will be debuted via $1.00 dishes, the 3rd year of a tasty partnership with the UW-Platteville Dairy Sciences Department. Call (608) 437-6486 or email mthorebhistory@mhtc.net for more information.
