On Saturday, December 10, Folklore Village celebrates the Swedish Sankta Lucia tradition, marking the return of light in the darkness of winter. Children and adults alike are invited out to this special day of wintertime wonder. The event starts at 3:00pm with craft workshops. Children will enjoy crafts, learn to shape the traditional lussekatter (saffron buns), and learn Lucia songs. The evening potluck starts at 5:30 PM and is followed by the Sankta Lucia procession. Children who want to participate in the procession must attend the workshops earlier in the day in order to learn the songs. Afternoon & Evening admission is $12 adults, $10 seniors & teens, $8 kids 5-12. Admission to only the evening is $8 adults, $6 seniors & teens, $4 kids 5-12. Kids under 5 are free.
