Scandihoovian Winter Festival: Jordisk Parti

Jordisk Parti is Norwegian for underground party. Deck yourself out with glow sticks and glowing tattoos before you head underground. Join us for a kid-focused, family friendly event in the warm, lighted underground that celebrates our Scandi heritage. Participants will travel the South cave passageways at their own pace, meeting up with Nøå in the North Cave for Scandi-GROOVIAN electro-tunes including some Norwegian disco! Then continue on through the East Cave with a guided Winter Glow Tour! Above ground experiment with glowsticks in the snow while building glowing snow gnomes on the terraces behind the Visitor Center. Dig in the heated Fossil Dig for rocks, crystals and fossils. Warm up by the campfire. Snacks, beverages and a cash bar will be available in the Visitor Center. Recieve a FREE gemstone mining bag for wearing your pointy red Scandihoovian hat! Regular admission tickets are for visitors age 13 and up. Child tickets are for visitors age 4 – 12. Children ages 3 and younger are free. This event is part of the Mt. Horeb area Scandihoovian Winter Festival. Outdoor glowing snow gnome activity is FREE and all are welcome. Cave admission for the Jordisk Parti is discounted for this community event.
