The Driftless Historium is hosting an Open House to celebrate the “All I Want for Christmas” special exhibit on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.—aligning perfectly with the downtown launch of the Mount Horeb Area Chamber of Commerce Trollidays!
This free event includes holiday treats and a children’s drop-in craft activity, where participants can make their own snow globe while supplies last. (Note that children under five must be accompanied by an adult.)
Finally, to help spread some of the the joy and comfort embodied by the well-loved childhood treasures in the special exhibit, the Driftless Historium is partnering with Neighbors Helping Neighbors (NHN) to collect donations of toiletries, and winter hats, gloves, and mittens for children and adults in our community.
Neighbors Helping Neighbors provides essential items such as food, clothing, personal care products, and relief services for those in need in the Mount Horeb area. NHN has distributed over 13,500 packaged items (including toilet paper, diapers, toothpaste, and laundry detergent) and more than 160,000 pounds of food.
Visitors are encouraged to bring a donation any time during the museum’s open hours. A collection bin for toiletries and winter wear will be located in the Kalscheur Community Gallery.
