Crewperson- Village of Mount Horeb- Public Services Department

The Village of Mount Horeb is accepting applications for a Public Services Crewperson position with the Public Services Department. Utilizing a working knowledge of light automotive, construction and mechanized equipment, this position performs maintenance on streets, storm sewers, buildings, grounds, and parks. Duties include snow removal, equipment maintenance and operation, mowing, asphalt and concrete repair, building maintenance, carpentry, traffic sign maintenance, assisting with forestry operations, and more. The candidate must be able to operate a variety of equipment including snow removal equipment, wheel loaders, skid steer, backhoe, mowers, street sweeper and brush chipper. General knowledge and skill in plumbing, electrical, concrete and carpentry a plus.

The qualified candidate must have a valid WI Driver’s License, a valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and a high school diploma or GED equivalent. The candidate must be available for overtime work when required, including periodic night and weekend work. Wage for this position starts at $25.00- $28.00 an hour and will depend on applicant qualifications.
