Children’s Community School (CCS) is hiring for a full-time preschool teacher, hours 8:00AM-5:30PM, to complete our school family. Candidates with an AMS Montessori credential and/or Wisconsin educator license preferred. The teacher who fills this position would be teaching alongside veteran educators in a mixed-age preschool classroom. Our benefits include childcare discounts, paid time off, paid holidays, health and life insurance for eligible employees, and paid continuing education.
Maria Montessori started an education transformation. In Mount Horeb, we've been joyfully teaching the Montessori Method at Children's Community School for the past 45 years. We know our community's future leaders, visionaries, and problem-solvers are already here: we have the privilege of teaching them every day.
In 2023, we opened the doors to a brand new school with bright beautiful classrooms, natural outdoor play areas, and an emphasis on sustainability. We are particularly proud of our solar energy net zero status and teaching our students how to care for their environment and community.
Are you looking for a teaching position that comes with steadfast parent support? Preschool eventually ends for our young learners, but many of our parents choose to stay for decades as volunteers. Prefer to work with a partner? Our school embraces a team-teaching model. Do you value schools that emphasize nature, art, and practical life skills? Perfect, we do, too.
Our director, teaching staff, and Board of Directors are closely collaborating on staffing needs for our next chapter. If you are an enthusiastic teacher with a passion for child-centered education, we’d love to meet you!
