Parks Mainteneance - 2025 Summer Season - Public Services

The Village of Mount Horeb is currently seeking applicants for our Seasonal Parks Maintenance position within our Public Services Department. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the maintenance and beautification of our community's parks and recreational areas. Successful candidates will work full-time, 40 hours per week, from May through August. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend overtime opportunities.

Responsibilities:

• Perform various tasks related to parks maintenance, including but not limited to:
  • Mowing
  • Trimming
  • Ball Diamond Maintenance
  • Park Shelter Cleaning
  • Brush chipping
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Previous experience operating mowing equipment, tractors, trucks, trailers, and power equipment is desired.
• Preferred start date: mid to late May.

Salary and Benefits:

• Starting pay: $16.00 + per hour depending on qualifications
