• GrandStay in Mount Horeb Announces New Ownership

Ten years ago, the Mount Horeb community said a new hotel was needed if economic development and tourism were expected to flourish.  A group of 20 local families stepped up to create Mt. Horeb Hotel Partners LLC. They invested the necessary capital to build a beautiful 60 room three-story hotel on the eastern edge of the Village of Mount Horeb.

The GrandStay® Hotel & Suites, Mount Horeb-Madison, announced today they have sold the ownership of the hotel to a hotel development company with ownership of 29 other regional hotels.

Michael McNall, Chairman of the Board for the LLC ownership group, said, “We are very proud of what we have accomplished, including recruiting local investors in 2014, using local contractors to build the hotel, opening the hotel in May 2015, and managing this property during good times and challenging times. Now is the time to sell to professional hotel developers to continue the progress we have made over the past ten years.”

The hotel developer was successful over a dozen other prospective buyers seeking to purchase the hotel ownership in a sales process. They expect to build on the great culture that has already been established by the local owners. This includes plans to remain under the GrandStay® brand and retain existing staff. The new owners are committed to providing a professional and memorable experience for all guests.

“We would like to extend a warm thank you to the local community for its support and patronage of GrandStay® Hotel & Suites over our ten years of ownership.” said Brad Murphy, President of the Mt. Horeb Hotel Partners LLC. “We believe our many regular guests may continue to rely on the hospitality and cleanliness of this facility.”
