• Morgan’s Caring Connection Raises $15,000 at Inaugural Kickoff Celebration to Support Families with Special Needs Dependents

Verona, WI – 8/15/2024 – Morgan’s Caring Connection is thrilled to announce the success of its Inaugural Kickoff Celebration, held on August 4th, which raised approximately $15,000 to support families with special needs dependents. This event marked a significant milestone for the nonprofit, which was founded earlier this year to provide essential financial grants for legal services that secure the future of special needs dependents.

Morgan’s Caring Connection is also proud to be a new member of the Mount Horeb Chamber of Commerce, further solidifying its commitment to engaging with the local community.

The $15,000 raised will be strategically allocated to both supporting the day-to-day operations of Morgan’s Caring Connection and building our grant fund. This fund is essential for helping families cover the costs of critical legal documents, such as wills, trusts, special needs trusts, guardianships and powers of attorney, which are vital to ensuring the long-term financial stability and care of special needs dependents. By carefully managing these resources, we aim to sustain our mission and expand our impact on families in need.

"We are overwhelmed by the generosity and support we received from the community," said Janis Strutt, Co-Founder & Executive Director of Morgan’s Caring Connection. "This event was not only a celebration but a testament to the power of community coming together for a cause that truly matters. The funds raised will make a tangible difference in the lives of families who need it most, giving them peace of mind that their loved ones will be taken care of."

The Inaugural Kickoff Celebration featured a variety of activities, including a silent auction, kids' raffle baskets, food trucks, and free ice skating, providing a fun and engaging atmosphere for all attendees. Local businesses, leaders, and families came together to network and contribute to a meaningful cause, making the event a resounding success.

Janis added, "This is just the beginning. The support we received at this event shows that there is a strong community interest in helping families with special needs dependents. As we move forward, we plan to build on this momentum and continue to expand our impact."

Morgan’s Caring Connection extends its heartfelt thanks to all sponsors, donors, volunteers, and attendees who made this event possible. The organization is already looking ahead to future events and initiatives to continue its mission of empowering families and securing the future of special needs dependents.

    About Morgan’s Caring Connection:

Morgan’s Caring Connection was founded in February 2024 by Janis & Kelly Strutt after the unexpected loss of their daughter Morgan, who was a special needs dependent. The nonprofit’s mission is to provide financial grants to families to help cover the legal fees for essential documents that ensure the long-term care and stability of special needs dependents. By filling this critical funding gap, Morgan’s Caring Connection empowers families to plan with confidence and peace of mind.
